Lowcoaholic
Last Friday I had a chat with friend and fellow ExpressionEngine add-on developer Elwin Zuiderveld (whom you may know as Cocoaholic). Elwin’s currently very busy developing iPhone apps, which leaves him very little time to take care of his add-ons, let alone migrate them to EE2.0. Some of those, like the Category Checkboxes extension, have become obsolete due to the new Control Panel. Others, like Reeorder and Navigator, can and should be ported to 2.0.
Elwin and I have agreed that I will take over development for these add-ons. I’m not sure exactly when, but you can expect something like a Low Reeorder or Low Navigator in the near future. If you’re using any of Elwin’s add-ons and want to see them ported to 2.0, let me know, along with any feature requests. I’ll do my best to add a little Low-sauce while I’m at it. Thanks to Elwin for not letting his work wither and die — there’s a bottle of Pouilly-Fuissé here with your name on it, buddy!

Great news.
Quick question though,
That bottle of Pouilly-Fuissé, does that come free with every download now? ;)
Excellent arrangement!
Good news, big fan of Reeorder myself. Nice one, chaps!
Excellent! Really am glad to see a future for these great add-ons.
Really am wondering what the special low-sauce will be, or what it is in general ;-)
Reeorder - absolutely need that. Never used navigator, but what the heck?
This is excellent guys!
Hi Lodewijk,
I have made some additions to the Navigator module:
- Added nav_image field with mx_universal_editor upload
- Added support for new style {switch=} tag
- Added variables {nav_count} and {nav_total_results}

Let me know if you would like the code, would be great to see this in the official version. Might even save you some time :)
Hey Mark,
Thanks for your suggestions. Just to be clear, I won’t be adding new features to the EE 1.6.x compatible version of Navigator (or Reeorder for that matter) — I will be adding them to the EE 2.x version.
Ok, no problem.
In that case I’d like to put in this feature request: per group hierarchical navigation tree with drag and drop re-ordering (like Structure), using the nested sets tree model for speed (there’s already a CI class you can use).
